Thy Kingdom Come - Beacon Event

At 4.00, the worship began with a rousing processional singing of 'Come all you people, Come and praise your maker', which was followed by some very createive ways of looking at the Lord's Prayer.  The sultanas and the bubble-blowing were very popular! Our Superintednent, the Revd Dr Martin Wellings welcomed everyone to Oxford, and the Revd Jill Marsh District Director of Mission led us into the worship. Bladon Junior Church gave us a very dramatic rendering of the Pharisee and the Tax-collector at prayer, (Luke 18) and our Chair of District, somewhat to her surprise, led a Mexican Wave as a final act of celebration. Tea, coffee and cake followed!  Thanks to all who organised, helped and came along!
